McKenzie suffered her first broken bone in February. We had been to an indoor bounce house with friends and they were having a blast. McKenzie and some friends came down one of the big slide and her elbow got bent the wrong way. She broke the bottom of her upper arm bone in the elbow area. We made a trip the ER and she got to wear a splint and sling home (along with the hospital gown because her shirt wouldn't fit over the splint!) until going to the orthopedic the next day....
She picked out a HOT PINK cast to wear for the next 3 weeks. At first she didn't want anyone to sign it, but then she let the family and then a few friends!
Having my little helper in a cast meant more for me to do, but she was a great sport and didn't complain at least!
