MOPS Playdate

We enjoyed a beautiful day at the park with our friends from MOPS. It was a great playdate...kids could play, moms could talk, and a picnic lunch.

Abby enjoying the slide!

McKenzie calling a friend to come with her. (the thing on her forhead is from her collision with a chair Wed night at church....lots of blood and a pretty good cut.)

McKenzie and Chloe stopped for a hug while playing.

Teagan enjoyed playing on the blanket.

TACKY NIGHT

OK, be prepared! I do not dress like this normally, but I do think it would be interesting to see what kinds of comments I could get if I did this on a night that was not Tacky Night for Awana. I got some great comments and interesting looks, but what if I did just dress like this one day!

Me and McKenzie in our tacky attire. She really got into it!

Knoxville Zoo

We decided to go to the zoo Sunday afternoon. We went back in May and got season passes so we can go whenever we want until next May!! McKenzie loves the zoo and this time Teagan loved it a little more too! He happily rode in his stroller and took in everything along the way. McKenzie really wanted to see the Tigers, but they are the hardest to see because they were all napping in the back of their areas.

Our happy little boy! He is such a good sport! I think he was just happy to be down and out of his stroller in this picture.

McKenzie walking across the lily pads in the kids area.

McKenzie picked the horse to ride on the Carousel...suprise, suprise!

Teagan got to ride the Red Panda and he had a death grip on my shirt the whole time.

McKenzie told Steven to ride the Gator...this was the Sunday after the VOLS were beaten by the Gators.

Knoxville Zoo

McKenzie is getting a close up visit with Lou...he is 18 years old.

Check out this HUGE turtle! He was up close and personal!

McKenzie wanted to pet every animal in the petting area! I let her pet and brush all she wanted and just stood back and took pictures!

I even let Teagan get in on the petting action!

Sleeping Children!

I had two sleeping kids the other morning making it very hard for me to get up and get us going for the day. They of course picked the day to sleep a little late (even if it was in my bed!) when McKenzie had school and Teagan and I had things to do. If this could only happen on a Saturday!!!!!!!!!! Sweet Dreams!

BATH TIME FUN!

Bathing beauty! The fun part of bath time is to get all the toys out! Wait, that is the fun part of playing all day long!

Teagan needs some boy toys for the tub, but he will play with whatever he can find!

Tie-Dye

Awana has theme nights and a couple of weeks ago it was tie-dye night! So, Jen, Ang, and I decided it would be fun to make this an arts and crafts project with our kids. The shirts turned out really cute. McKenzie helped make hers and then I made one for myself and Teagan.

McKenzie and Teagan showing off their tie-dye!

Trying to get a pic of the 3 of us in tie-dye....not EASY!

McKenzie posed herself for this picture.

Play Dough Time

McKenzie shared her play dough toys with Teagan. He had fun watching her and playing with the toys.

McKenzie enjoys playing with Teagan most of the time! Teagan LOVES to play with his sister!

CUBBIES

McKenzie is all ready to go to her first night of Cubbies. She is so excited to finally be a Cubbie (mom has dragged her up to church enough to work on Cubbies and Awana in general)!!!! For those of you who don't know what a Cubbie is, it is part of AWANA. A program at church that is focused on scripture memorization! I can't believe how eager she is to learn her verse and how well she is learning.

I had braided her hair and she wanted to see what it looked like. This was later an issue at church when she wanted to take it down and was told no way. I worked way too hard for it not to last until she got home!

We eat at church on Wednesday nights and this year we decided the girls are big enough to sit at their own table!!! Now we can have a conversation without constantly being interrupted. McKenzie is sitting with Mikayla, Meredith, and Chloe.

NAP TIME

After a hard day at school (where she didn't nap!) and a hard day at work, these two passed out on the couch.

Playing Wii

McKenzie loves to bowl on the Wii. She is actually good at it and has a style all her own!! (Yes, she is missing her shorts, but whatever makes her happy and comfy!!). Teagan is enjoying watching this game between his DaDa and sister.
