McKenzie is Growing Up

Wow, time flies! I took McKenzie to register for Kindergarten last Friday (April 23). A good friend told me to snap a picture of her to mark the day. It is hard to believe that come August our life will really revolve around a school year! She is ready to go and I know she will do great, but it will be hard to have her out of the house everyday! Today (Wed, April 28) she went for her K testing and did great! She also went to the dentist and we found out her 2 bottom teeth are loose! I am glad I got a good picture of her baby teeth since it will be one of my last!

Tea with Mom

Mom's Day Out has "Tea with Mom" and this year McKenzie's teachers told them to try and dress like their moms. So we had on our jeans, black shirts, purple flip flops and purple necklaces. My boys thought they needed in the picture so they jumped in and I don't get to be the one in the picture often so I took advantage.

The Boys

Teagan wanted his picture taken because I was taking one of McKenzie!Nate was hanging out in the laundry basket so I could snap the garden pictures!

McKenzie's "Garden"

We have a flower bed area that we have done nothing with and McKenzie has been begging for a "garden" so we told her that could be her area. She wanted to plant watermelon (and lots of other stuff, but we are sticking with just watermelon for now!) so she has 3 plants her daddy helped her plant. I think we will get a few flowers to go around the edges too! Ready to dig a hole...

McKenzie

McKenzie is my big girl and she is a great big sister!

Teagan

Teagan loves to play outside! He is one very active little boy!

Nate

Nate is growing and changing every day! He loves to be in his walker so he can keep up with the older 2 now that we are getting to play outside more!

He is just a cutie!!

Baseball

We got to watch Carson (kid pitch), Cooper (coaches pitch), and Cole (tball) play baseball when we were in Dayton a few weeks ago. McKenzie and Teagan loved running around
Cooper, McKenzie, and Teagan...who know what they were plotting!

Ankle Surgery...

As if being in a cast wasn't bad enough McKenzie already was scheduled to see a surgeon about having a suspicious "mole" removed from her ankle area. So with a hot pink cast on her right arm and a bandaged left foot that she couldn't walk on for a few days and then still had to take it easy my little helper was on medical leave! It was a lot of fun bathing a 5 yr old who couldn't get her arm or foot wet!!!The recovery nurse colored her bandage and the orange toe polish is thanks to her cousins!

McKenzie's 1st Broken Bone

McKenzie suffered her first broken bone in February. We had been to an indoor bounce house with friends and they were having a blast. McKenzie and some friends came down one of the big slide and her elbow got bent the wrong way. She broke the bottom of her upper arm bone in the elbow area. We made a trip the ER and she got to wear a splint and sling home (along with the hospital gown because her shirt wouldn't fit over the splint!) until going to the orthopedic the next day....She picked out a HOT PINK cast to wear for the next 3 weeks. At first she didn't want anyone to sign it, but then she let the family and then a few friends!
Having my little helper in a cast meant more for me to do, but she was a great sport and didn't complain at least!
